Anchor Bay Films has acquired the rights to distribute Bait 3D in North America. Bait is the first 3d action film to come out of Australia. The horror film that showcases a tragic shark attack stars Sharni Vinson, Adrian Pang, Xavier Samuel, Dan Wyllie, Qi Yuwu, Julian McMachon, and Pheobe Tonin. The film was produced by Peter Barber, Gary Hamilton, and Todd Fellman.
Executive Vice president for Anchor Bay Films Kevin Kasha stated that it Bait 3D is one heck of a shark thrill ride that will leave viewers wondering if it really is ever safe to wonder back into the water. For those who have not felt the same about the ocean since Jaws, this film might be the final nail in the coffin.
The basic plot of the film follows survivors of a massive tsunami attempting to get out of a watery grave as the water swears through their town and it turns out that there are some very hungry white sharks in the water.
